Sooru means Roof. As we all know many of our government schools lack proper amenities. Two such schools were identified in the border area of Karnataka and Goa in Kali reserve forest area which receives heavy rainfall through out the year. As result, schools will be closed for couple months in a year. We were told that schools roof tops aredamaged and it leaks during heavy rains causing cancellation of classes during rains. We wanted to prevent such situations hence we decided to replace/repair the roof there by helping needy students and helping the community. As part of this project, we will identify such schools and work with repair/replacement of roof tops.
